Introduction to Swedish Massage 101
January 20, 2007 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Learn to give a full body Swedish Massage. Our Introduction to Swedish Massage 101 educates the student to the basics of providing a genuine Swedish massage. Participants will learn about the history and philosophy of massage, an overview of the major muscle groups and anatomical landmarks addressed during massage, and the recommended protocol for giving a full body massage. All educational materials, lotions and equipment are provided in this package. All you need to bring are linens. Fee: Individual $35.00, Couple $60.00. Pre-registration is required. Swedish Massage 201
February 17, 2007 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

This class continious where 'Introduction to Swedish Massage' left off. Students will learn fundamental protocols for addressing the major muscle groups in the shoulders, hips and spine. Emphasis will be placed on palpation of the muscles and body landmarks, developing smooth gliding strokes and assessing the the clients needs. Prerequisite: Introduction to Massage 101 or approval of the instructor. Students need to bring their own linens. All other lotions and equipment are provided. Fee: Individual $35.00, Couple $60.00.
